Danny Boy Smith is widely sought after. Emerging as a bike messenger, steeped in the punk scene, Danny Boy’s ink graces luminaries such as Lars of Rancid, Eva Von Slut of the Merry Widows, Greg MacEntee of the Swinging Utters, and Greg de Hoot of Hounds and Harlots. Legends of the bike and motorcycle messenger world from Toronto, New York, Amsterdam, and Switzerland wear his art.
Trained first with Jessie Peron from Hawaii, then completing his apprenticeship with the revered Ms Mikki. Their close friendship still feeds their artistry after a 5 year working relationship.
Danny has a loyal clientele built over 5 years at sacred tattoo in Oakland and Mom’s in San Francisco. He is now a resident artist at Let it Bleed on Polk St in San Francisco’s tenderloin.
Black and Grey, American Traditional, specializing in structures, mechanical diagrammatic imagery and portraiture are some of Danny Boy’s strengths.
